Pen to Print evaluation
2016 - 2018
Evaluation of the 2016 and 2017 Pen to Print Programmes. The programme seeks to identify and support local writing talent through workshops, courses and masterclasses; author events including ReadFest; annual writing competitions including The Book Challenge (which provides 10 writers with mentoring support to enable them to complete a novel). The programme is delivered through the library service and has recently become a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England.
The evaluation tracks the impact of the opportunities on writers and residents and has begun to look at the legacy of the programme for past and present Book Challenge awardees.
