HOT FOOT FROM A CREATIVE LITERACY INSET
I've just spent a great day with teachers from the eight schools taking part in the next phase of Verse vs Verse, a creative literacy project that I've worked with for a few years now. So good to be asked to come back and evaluate the next phase of the programme. As for the INSET, this was the event to kick off three years of work with the schools. There's a lot to be said for spending a day with people face to face, meeting the artists, meeting the newly recruited team at Eastside Educational Trust and the teachers. I had a lot of fun taking part in the workshops thanks to artists - Miriam Nash, Izzy Hatton and Dave Baker - nice to finally meet them. Definitely worth getting up a 5.30am for!
